Standing Out in Our Field is the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine’s largest fundraiser, raising much-needed scholarship funds for our medical students. Standing Out in Our Field returns on Aug. 27, 2022, after a two-year hiatus.
If you’re unable to attend but still want to support Marshall medical students, this is your chance! Medical students are facing debt upwards of $200,000 as they begin their careers. We are also facing a doctor shortage in America—one that will have the greatest impact on our rural communities. Reducing medical school debt allows a future physician to select a field and location based on their interest without the pressure of paying off their debt.
