The Department of Communication Disorders at Marshall University is launching a special crowdfunding campaign to support graduate student scholarships. Our goal is to raise $25,000 in one month to provide financial assistance to students pursuing careers in speech-language pathology.
What makes this campaign unique? Every donation will be made in honor of a supervisor, teacher, or mentor who has made a difference in the field of speech-language pathology. As a token of appreciation, both the donor and the honored mentor will have their names placed on the department’s Honor a Mentor Wall, celebrating the impact of mentorship and dedication in our profession.
Why Your Support Matters
Graduate education is rigorous and financially demanding. Many students face financial burdens that could impact their ability to complete their training. Your donation will directly contribute to scholarships that ease these challenges, allowing future speech-language pathologists to focus on their education and clinical experiences without financial stress. Furthermore, the scholarship will be awarded to students who are already giving back to the program while working in the Department and Speech and Hearing Center.
The program is committed to attracting graduate students to Marshall University with the ultimate goal of having them remain in West Virginia and contribute to the betterment of the profession and the community.
