PKD75: The Thundering Word Speech and Debate Team

In 1950, the Thundering Word became a charter member of Pi Kappa Delta, the national honorary for intercollegiate speech and debate. Today we proudly continue that legacy—and we invite your support to help it thrive. Our goal is to raise $7,500 to help our students compete at national tournaments.

Your contribution will help our dedicated student competitors: 

  • Compete at the Pi Kappa Delta Comprehensive National Tournament and other national tournaments
  • Obtain supplies and equipment ranging from scripts to little black books to visual aids
  • Dress professionally if they otherwise do not have the means to do so.
