Global Education Student Support
Global Education Student Support
The first $2,000 raised will be matched dollar for dollar.
This year, Marshall University welcomed five refugee students through the national Sponsorship Hub program, becoming the only higher education institution in West Virginia to do so. Our Global Education team, along with partners across campus, is providing these students with housing, academic support, Medicaid enrollment, and guidance as they adjust to life in Huntington. While FAFSA covers most of their tuition, the remaining costs—including housing, meals, books, medical exams, and urgent health needs—require the Office of Global Education to raise additional funds to ensure their continued safety, stability, and academic success. As we give thanks for our international community, we invite you to consider supporting this fund, which directly impacts students who have survived conflict and displacement and are now building new futures here at Marshall.
