War Comes Home

In partnership with Alchemy Theatre, War Comes Home will bring award-winning theater company, Third Rail Projects (TRP), to West Virginia to create an original immersive theater production based on veterans’ stories. Funded by an NEA grant, the project features collaboration among veterans, students, and community members to produce an immersive theater production, engaging audiences in transformative storytelling about military experiences.

War Comes Home brings together Marshall University theater students and military veterans from the community to co-create and produce an original immersive theater production based on veterans’ stories. Working with artists from award-winning Third Rail Projects (NYC) and Alchemy Theatre (Huntington), veterans and students will collaboratively create prose, poetry, choreography, theatrical staging, sound design, video media, and set design to share veterans’ stories, allowing audiences to experience them alongside the performers. The final production will be performed at Alchemy Theatre in Huntington December 5 and 6, 2026.

The project is funded in part by an NEA Grant for Arts Project grant, but we are seeking your support to bring the project to fruition. Make your gift to support veterans and the arts in your community.
